We exist to contribute to the eradication of illiteracy and poverty among youths through Student Resident scholarships, TVET scholarships, and University loans.
Who Are We?
The Fr Joachim Cabanyes Endowment Fund (FJCEF) is a project of Oma Welfare Foundation (OWF), a Non - Profit Organisation incorporated in 2009.
FJCEF aims to aid the eradication of Illiteracy, moral and financial poverty among youths in Nigeria. Thus, contributing to social development while perpetuating the legacy of a great man.
Fr Joachim Cabanyes
The fund was named after Fr Joachim Cabanyes, who spent 31 years of his life dedicated to the formation and education of different people in Nigeria. We want to immortalize his legacy of God, hardwork and service starting with projects dearest to his heart and beneficial to young people.
Why an Endowment Fund?
An endowment is a donation to a non-profit organization, which uses the resulting interest or return on investment for specific purposes. In our case, only the proceeds from the donation and not the principal donations are used for the aims of the fund.

How We Help
Student Residence Scholarships
Residences like Uhere study centre provide accomodation to university students and foster voluntary all round formation through leadership training, skills for academic excellence, career development, spiritual enrichment, and social responsibilities .
Technical Vocational and Educational Training (TVET)
Institutions like Lantana College of Hospitality train people from less wealthy homes to break the cycle of poverty for households and communities.
